SEO Case Study: Building Topical Authority on a New Biotech & Pharma Marketing Website
Most SEO projects are executed on aged domains with existing authority and backlinks. Deepli wanted to demonstrate the existing SEO methodology on a fresh domain such as biotechpharmamarketing.com, which had no previous authority or backlinks built.
The pages from old deepli.net website were copied with canonical tag changed to fit new biotechpharmamarketing.com website.
The website had:
• 9 non-optimized pages
• was ranking on 6 mostly branded queries
• had around ~20 organic users per month that were coming mostly from branded queries
• had average session duration below 20 seconds
Between May and July 2026, Deepli implemented a topical authority strategy focused on biotech, pharmaceutical, CRO/CDMO, diagnostics, and life science marketing.
The implementation included:
• 11 service pages
• 4 solution pages
• 8 case studies
• 6 blog articles
• Additional supporting pages and internal linking architecture
Total new pages published: 32
Pages were published gradually rather than all at once. New content was added continuously from mid-May through early July, allowing Google to crawl and index the expanding content cluster.
Importantly, the project was intentionally launched on a new domain instead of Deepli's older deepli.net website to demonstrate that the methodology can work within several months on a new domain.
As Google Search Console shows the website after 2 months of content publishing shown over 12,000 impressions. On a first week of new content released (approximately 2 pages per week), the average website position was around 50, while in 2 months with more content released the average position reached 30. The website started to rank on 360+ non-branded queries, and produced 27 organic clicks that led to multiple inbound high-quality inquiries.
One notable observation was that impressions continued to grow rapidly while new content was being published. After July 1st, when no additional pages were added for approximately 10 days, impressions began to stabilize, suggesting that continuous publication was a significant growth driver during the early phase.
The average session duration was below 20s before implementation of SEO-optimized pages, while after implementation became over 2 minutes, with some days peaking 8-18 minutes (see screenshot from Google Analytics above). The organic traffic increased 5x over the course of 2 months.
This case study demonstrates that a structured topical authority strategy can produce measurable SEO growth on a new life science website within a relatively short period.
By publishing targeted service pages, solution pages, case studies, and supporting content around a focused niche, Deepli increased the number of ranking queries from 6 to more than 360 and improved average search visibility from approximately position 50 to position 30 in about two months, generating over 12,000 impressions and multiple inbound inquiries.
For biotech, pharmaceutical, CRO/CDMO, and life science companies, the results suggest that consistent publication, industry-specific content clusters, and strong internal linking can create significant early SEO momentum even before substantial backlink acquisition begins.
